The center of gambling in the United States, Las Vegas is marketed as The Entertainment Capital of the World and is famous for its massive, lavish casino resorts. It is also commonly known as Sin City, due to the popularity of legalized gambling, availability of alcoholic beverages at any time (as is true throughout Nevada), and various forms and degrees of adult entertainment. Although prostitution is legal in most of Nevada, it is not legal in Clark County. The city's glamorous image has made it a popular setting for films and television programs.

  • Taxis are very easy to find, however it is illegal to hail a cab on the street. Will you be arrested? Probably not, however it is recommended that you pick up a cab at a taxi stand. Taxi stands can be found at every casino and most major hotels. Cabs even wait in front of places like pharmacies, restaurants, and malls, especially on or near the strip. All taxi companies run 24 hours a day, and almost all operate through out the city.
